My name is Shavi Morsara. I am a Canadian financial executive and Chartered Professional Accountant with over 23 years of experience in finance, including progressive senior leadership roles culminating in Chief Financial Officer Positions across both private and public sectors.
I have worked with high-growth companies, multi-entity organizations, and government-funded institutions, including publicly traded companies and organizations with international operations. My career has been defined by helping organizations scale responsibly, secure funding, strengthen governance, and align financial strategy with long-term objectives.
Through my company, Bridge Financial Consulting, I take on selective interim and fractional CFO engagements, supporting organizations that require experienced executive leadership during periods of transition, growth, or change. These engagements are intentionally limited in scope as I focus on identifying the right long-term CFO or senior finance leadership role.
I am passionate about helping organizations reach their full potential by aligning financial planning, systems, and execution with strategy. I welcome thoughtful conversations with business leaders, boards, and organizations seeking experienced financial leadership.

Executive CFO & Financial Leadership Services

About Me
Key Achievements & Leadership Roles
Most recently, I served as Interim Chief Financial Officer for TRIUMF Inc., Canada’s national particle accelerator centre. In this role, I worked closely with the CEO, senior leadership team, the National Research Council, and 21 partner universities to secure long-term funding, strengthen financial systems, and align resources with TRIUMF’s five-year strategic vision.
Previously, I served as Chief Financial Officer of Paragon Testing Enterprises Inc. (formerly a subsidiary of the University of British Columbia). I played a central role in strategic and financial planning, operational oversight, board engagement, and international expansion, and led the organization through its successful acquisition. This experience reinforced my ability to deliver results in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Career Highlights
Throughout my career, I have supported organizations such as Gateway Casinos, Avigilon, and ACL (now Diligent), both as a full-time leader and as a consultant. A consistent theme across these roles has been my ability to act as a catalyst for growth—scaling revenues, improving cost discipline, and strengthening profitability through sound financial strategy and execution.
Community Involvement
I am passionate about supporting entrepreneurial businesses as they grow and scale. Since January 2023, I have served as a judge with New Ventures BC, a non-profit organization that provides programs, funding, and mentorship to technology entrepreneurs across British Columbia. In this role, I contribute my experience by evaluating, mentoring, and supporting companies participating in the annual New Ventures BC Competition.
Passion and Approach
My interest in accounting began early, when I first recognized how financial information reveals the inner workings of a business and informs better decisions. That curiosity led me to Simon Fraser University, where I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, followed by my professional accounting designation.
With more than 23 years of experience in finance, including senior leadership roles, I support small and mid-sized organizations in bridging finance, strategy, and execution. My approach begins with a financial health check, providing clarity around performance, risk, and opportunity. From there, I work closely with owners and leadership teams to strengthen reporting, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth.

Hobbies & Interests
When I’m not working or serving as a judge for New Ventures BC, you’ll likely find me at the hockey rink either playing in my men’s rec league or supporting my child at practice. I also enjoy family time, fitness activities like biking and running, and meeting peers to share insights on building and scaling businesses.
Testimonials
Paragon Testing Enterprises Inc.
Shavi joined Paragon Testing during a period of rapid growth. A time when we were in need of competent financial controls, aligning our overall strategy with our Budgets & Forecasts and expanding our board reporting and internal management financial reports (i.e. Product Line P&L, KPI’s/Dashboards etc.).
As our CFO he was instrumental in implementing systems and processes for our next phase of growth and was an integral part of the team in preparing the company for sale in 2021.
Shavi possesses a high level of technical skills, is highly professional, and has a natural ability to connect with all types of employees in an organization. A true team player and C-suite contributor.
Stephen Smith
TRIUMF INC.
From the moment Shavi Morsara joined TRIUMF as Interim CFO I was impressed with his in-depth knowledge of Accounting and Finance and his drive to understand the business and make an impact. He immediately aligned with the TRIUMF Leadership Team, and his competencies led well to his high-impact, mission-driven role that blended government relations, stakeholder engagement, budgeting, forecasting and team leadership.
He joined during a critical transition period for the company and was able to succeed as he was not afraid to roll up his sleeves when required and was successful in building relationships at all levels within the company from C-Suite members to managers and employees.
Shavi was instrumental in leading the development of TRIUMF’s 45-year Preliminary Decommissioning financial plan and presenting to both our Board of Governors and Members’ Council (a group consisting of 21 member universities) which was ultimately approved by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.
He also undertook many other mission critical initiatives of the lab including improving key accounting and procurement processes, aligning strategy to our budgeting and forecasting and most importantly in the finalization of TRIUMF’s Contribution Agreement with NRC for the coming 5-year period.
I have no doubt Shavi will bring that same dedication, work ethic and drive for his future clients. He is a genuine person with high integrity, and a pleasure to work with.

Paragon Testing Enterprises Inc.
Shavi served as the company’s first and only CFO. Following the sale of Paragon to Prometric in 2021, he remained in the role for a nine-month post-acquisition integration period, during which he supported Prometric’s CFO and team in overseeing and aligning Paragon’s strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring the company’s audit processes were completed smoothly.
Shavi was instrumental in our growth and evolving our reporting to help navigate the business through critical times. His in-depth financial expertise and his approachable nature fostered a positive atmosphere and encouraged open communication and teamwork.
A key contributing member of the C-Suite, he helped develop our overall strategy and ensured Leadership and Board alignment with our Budgets and Forecasts. Shavi improved our reporting systems and provided our Board with key data and reports, and he provided the financial narrative that fostered effective communication and trust.
Shavi was also a key contributor in helping Paragon expand internationally by insuring all regulatory, financial, and tax compliance were understood, assessed, and adhered to.
His ability to manage M&A due diligence and to create financial models that were coordinated with the financial narrative to ensure consistency and build trust was a true asset in positioning Paragon for its successful acquisition.
As a Fractional CFO for his clients I see Shavi bringing the same level of determination, professionalism and integrity that he brought to us as CFO of Paragon.

Paragon Testing Enterprises Inc.
I met Shavi during our time at Paragon Testing Enterprises Inc., a private company that was then a subsidiary of the University of British Columbia. Through a partnership between Paragon and UBC’s Faculty of Education and Office of the Provost, I led an initiative to provide graduate students and visiting scholars in the Measurement, Evaluation, and Research Methodology program with opportunities to engage with international leaders in testing and language assessment. I also oversaw Paragon’s Test Research & Development (R&D) Division.
Having worked with several CFOs over the course of my 30-year career, I can confidently say that Shavi stands out—not only for his technical expertise in accounting, but for his exceptional professionalism and his natural ability to connect with employees across all levels and disciplines. Paragon was a uniquely complex organization, comprising multiple divisions and housing highly specialized professionals such as psychometricians, test raters, and test developers. Shavi had a deep understanding of each division’s activities and how they interrelated, which enabled him to align financial strategy with operational realities and identify key business drivers.
He regularly convened meetings with me and other division heads, and I was consistently impressed by his grasp of our work and how it fit into the company’s broader strategic and financial goals. His insights were not only accurate but forward-looking, often identifying new opportunities for growth and innovation.
Shavi played a pivotal role in Paragon’s international expansion and was a key contributor to the successful acquisition of the company. He is a true asset to any organization—transparent, proactive, collaborative, and guided by integrity.
